IMOU AOV PT 3K 4G & Wi-Fi Dual PT Battery Security Camera with 5W Solar Panel

IMOU AOV PT 3K 4G & Wi-Fi Dual PT Battery Security Camera with 5W Solar Panel

The IMOU AOV PT 3K 4G & Wi-Fi Dual PT Battery Security Camera with 5W Solar Panel is an outdoor IMOU battery security camera designed to combine all-time recording with wire-free installation. Its 5MP 3K UHD imaging, Always-on Video technology, 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity, AI-powered human detection and panoramic pan-and-tilt coverage provide flexible monitoring for outdoor locations.

A large 10000mAh rechargeable battery works with the supplied 5W solar panel to support extended operation, making the camera suitable for locations such as farms, orchards, holiday homes and cottages where conventional wiring or network connectivity may be limited.

Detection Technology

The AOV PT uses IMOU’s Always-on Video technology to provide continuous monitoring while managing battery and storage consumption.

When no event is taking place, the camera records one frame every two seconds. When an event occurs, it immediately switches to full-frame recording. This allows the camera to balance continuous recording requirements with power and storage efficiency.

Based on AOV technology, the camera provides a detection range of up to 25 metres.

AI-powered human detection uses the IMOU SENSE® enhanced human detection algorithm. According to the supplied manufacturer information, this provides a 50% improvement in overall accuracy and can return detection results in less than 0.02 seconds.

Detection and monitoring features include:

• Always-on Video technology
• AI-powered human detection
• Detection range up to 25m
• Auto tracking
• Customisable detection zones
• Protection scheduling
• Customisable alarm sounds

The camera also provides smart night vision and can automatically switch to full-colour mode when a person is detected. Infrared-only operation or disabled night vision can also be selected to reduce power consumption.

Wireless Communication

The AOV PT supports both 4G mobile connectivity and Wi-Fi, providing two networking options for different outdoor environments.

The camera can automatically switch between available 4G and Wi-Fi connections when one connection is lost, helping maintain network connectivity.

This makes the camera suitable for locations with conventional Wi-Fi as well as remote areas where mobile network connectivity is required.

The camera works with the IMOU Life App for remote monitoring and supported security settings.

Full-duplex two-way talk with built-in echo cancellation allows real-time communication with people in front of the camera.

4G data consumption varies according to live viewing and recording playback. Based on the manufacturer’s example of five one-minute live previews and five one-minute playback sessions per day, expected data consumption is approximately 120MB per day.

Security Protection

The AOV PT combines intelligent detection, active deterrence and physical privacy protection.

When an intruder is detected, the camera can activate warning functions including:

• Siren
• Spotlight
• Red and blue warning lights

The red and blue warning lights provide an additional visual deterrent compared with conventional white warning illumination.

The camera also carries an IP66 weather-resistance rating, providing protection against dust ingress and outdoor weather conditions.

Physical privacy protection allows the lens to turn downward at the press of a button, physically preventing the camera from viewing the monitored area.

Power Supply

The AOV PT contains a large 10000mAh rechargeable battery and is supplied with a 5W solar panel.

According to the supplied manufacturer information, the solar panel can generate approximately 1300–1400mAh under two hours of direct sunlight.

Under the manufacturer’s stated usage scenario of 100 triggered event videos per day, combined with AOV time-lapse operation for the remaining period, estimated daily power consumption is approximately 1000mAh. Under these conditions, sufficient sunlight may allow the solar panel to replenish the camera’s daily power consumption.

Actual battery performance depends on factors including:

• Number of events triggered
• Camera usage
• Recording activity
• Network activity
• Solar intensity
• Available direct sunlight

The camera also incorporates low-temperature charging technology and can charge at temperatures as low as -10°C, according to the supplied manufacturer information.

Low-battery notifications provide additional battery monitoring.
